According to news reports, it has been discovered that at least 30 patients contracted HIV while undergoing dialysis treatment at a hospital in Multan. A four-member fact-finding committee has now uncovered life-threatening malpractices in the dialysis ward at this hospital.
This is negligence of the worst kind. Any staff identified as being responsible, after a fair inquiry, should not only be dismissed from service but face criminal charges also.
