Parking dispute claims rickshaw driver’s life

The Taimuria police on Tuesday arrested a suspect involved in the killing of a rickshaw driver over a parking dispute.

The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim during an argument over parking a rickshaw, resulting in the driver's death.

According to police, the incident occurred on Monday night in Block L of North Nazimabad. Police and rescuers rushed to the crime scene and transported the casualty to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the deceased was identified as 50-year-old Mehboob, son of Adnan.

Police said Mehboob suffered fatal injuries during a physical altercation, with punches landing on his chest. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The police promptly responded and arrested the suspect, identified as Waleed Khan. The dispute arose over parking a rickshaw, escalating into a heated argument and a subsequent scuffle, the police said. During the fight, a punch landed on Mehboob's chest, leading to his death. A case has been registered.
