Abubakar enters junior tennis 2nd round

ISLAMABAD: Local player Abubakar Talha Tuesday progressed to the second round beating Andrew Kaavinda Wijemanne of Sri Lanka in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 in the ITF Pakistan PPL-Syed Dilawar Abbas World Junior Tennis Championship Leg-II here at the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex.
This prestigious event has brought together 80 junior players from across the globe, including 50 boys and 30 girls representing countries such as Pakistan, Japan, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Canada, Korea, Germany, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Singapore, USA, Belarus, and Russia.
Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, Chairman of Islamabad Tennis Association, inaugurated the event Tuesday morning. Tariq interacted with the participants, especially the foreign players.
