ISLAMABAD: PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram Monday said the nation would observe the day of deliverance on November 24, as the tsunami of people was all set to sweep away the ‘imposed’ rulers.
In a statement, he said the party had finalised all preparations for its upcoming decisive march on Islamabad aimed at reclaiming the party’s stolen mandate, securing the release of Imran Khan along with other unlawfully detained leaders and workers, and restoring the Constitution to its pre-26th amendment status.
He cautioned the government against using the strong-arm tactics to thwart the PTI’s upcoming march, emphasizing that peaceful assembly was an inalienable right enshrined in the Constitution, which no authority could deny.
Waqas Aram slammed the Punjab government’s move to detain the PTI leaders and workers ahead of Islamabad march and emphasized that the stolen mandate rulers could not halt the unstoppable tide of people from marching towards the federal capital.
He condemned the ‘imposed rulers’ draconian measures’, stating that they would inevitably backfire, as these oppressive tactics would only fuel discord and hatred in the society rather than achieving their intended goals.
Waqas Akram claimed that the entire nation eagerly awaited November 24 to commemorate their day of deliverance and to secure the release of their revered leader Imran Khan. Commenting on declaring Hassan Nawaz, son of Nawaz Sharif, bankrupt in a tax case initiated by the United Kingdom’s Tax and Revenue Department, he lambasted the Sharif family, calling them a consistent source of shame for Pakistan globally.
He alleged that the Sharifs were habitually corrupt and fraudsters, who committed wrongdoing even in the UK. He charged that the Sharifs could get a clean chit in mega corruption cases easily in Pakistan because they had ruined the all the state institutions by appointing handpicked persons to the key positions. However, he emphasized that perpetrating such wrongdoing in the UK would make it virtually impossible to evade accountability.
