Oil tanker owners demand action against attackers

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter of the All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association has demanded action against those involved in a recent attack on their office in Taru Jabba.

Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Chairman Muhammad Shafi Marwat, Faizullah Afridi, and other office-bearers revealed that around 60 to 70 armed individuals attacked the association’s office at 7 a.m. a few days ago.

They alleged that the assailants opened fire, looted cash worth millions of rupees, and vandalized the office furniture. One association member was killed and three to four others were injured during the attack.

They called for accountability of Station House Officer Taimoor Saleem of Police Station Pabbi for his alleged negligence.The association warned that they would suspend the supply of oil to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in protest if their demands were not met within three days.
