‘CM gives equal uplift opportunities to all cities’

LAHORE:Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is keen to provide equal development opportunities to all cities of the province.

Punjab Minister for Youth Affairs Punjab Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said this while talking to media at the inauguration of a football stadium at Muridke on Monday. A large number of football players, district administration and Youth Affairs Department officials were also present on this occasion. Talking on this occasion, Faisal Khokhar said that providing job opportunities to talented youth is among top priorities of the government. "The talented youth is an invaluable asset of the country and the govt will utilise all of its resources for the wefare and betterment of the younger generation".

He said that this stadium has been completed with the cost of Rs 174 million and it will help a lot in providing healthy opportunities to youth of this region. He further said that the full-fledged sports activities will be restored across all divisions as soon as the smog situation is improved in the province. "Extra-curriculum activities are equally important as academic activities are". Meanwhile, the trials for the selection of different Sports Board Punjab teams for the participation in Inter-Provincial Quaid-e-Azam Games got underway at different venues of provincial capital on Monday.

While talking to media, Director Admin M Kaleem said that hundreds of male and female U-22 athletes from all divisions of the province are participating in the trials and the best players will be selected purely on merit for the Inter-Provincial Quaid-e-Azam Games scheduled to be organized at Islamabad in the last week of December 2024.
