KARACHI: Muhammad Bashir Janmuhammad, chairman of Dalda Foods Limited and Westbury Group of Companies and chancellor of the Institute of Business Management has expressed his heartfelt condolences on the passing of Senator Ilyas Bilour.
In his statement released on Monday, he described Senator Bilour as a remarkable human being, a distinguished businessman, a respected business leader and a dedicated politician.Although Senator Bilour came from a prominent political family, his primary focus was on business and addressing the issues faced by the business community, Janmuhammad said, adding that the late Bilour served as the president of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (now the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and as president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI).
The chairperson of Dalda added that Senator Bilour was known for his reputation and integrity. Due to his family legacy, he was appointed as a senator, where he served successfully for five years. His contributions to the business community in KPK and across Pakistan will always be remembered for his humility and willingness to help others.
Janmuhammad also extended his deepest condolences to Senator Bilour’s son, Ghanzanfar Bilour, who, according to Janmuhammad, is following in his father›s footsteps as a role model for both the business community and humanity. He further expressed his sympathy to the entire Bilour family during this difficult time.
