Demo against unfair distribution of CM’s Khidmat cards

JHANG: A large number of kiln workers with their families staged a demonstration against unjust distribution of the CM’s Khidmat cards outside the DCO Office here on Friday.
The protesters holding banners and placards shouted slogans against the Labour and Social Welfare departments for allegedly making the Khidmat cards scheme a political game. They alleged that during preparation of lists for awarding Khidmat cards, local political bigwig’s recommended persons were preferred. They demanded immediate transfer of the Labour and Social Welfare department officials for alleged discrimination with them.
The protesters dispersed when the district administration assured them of forwarding their grievances to the Punjab government.
Arrangements complete for eight Ramazan Bazaars: ADC

JHANG: Additional District Collector (ADC) Muhammad Awais Malik Friday said all arrangements were complete for the establishment of eight Ramazan Bazaars in the district.
Chairing a special meeting, the ADC said in Tehsil Jhang three Ramazan bazaars would be established at Fawara Chowk, Tehsil Road Jhang Sadar, Bashir Chowk Satellite Town and at Millad Chowk Jhang City.
In Tehsil Shorkot two Ramazan bazaars will be setup at Pattan Road near Tehsil Chowk and near bus stop, Qaim Bharwan.
In Tehsil Ahmadpur Sial, a Ramazan bazaar will be established at Garh More Chowk on the Layyah Road and one at Tehsil 18 Hazari Chowk.
The ADC said the District Coordination Officer (DCO) Shoukat Khichi has approved establishment of fare price shops for Tehsil Jhang at Haji Waryam, Kiryana Merchant Shaheed Road Jhang Sadar, Haji Muhammad Abdullah, Kiryana Merchant Shaheed Road Jhang Sadar, Haji Muhammad Ali Kiryana Merchant Dhajji Road Jhang Sadar and Toba Road Sugar mills.
He said for Tehsil Shorkot the fair shops would be established at points of sugar mills and flour mills and for Tehsil Ahmadpur Sial at points of Ghulam Ali Dindar Kiryana Merchant Main Bazaar and Sheikh Muhammad Ijaz, Kiryana Merchant Garh Maharaja.
