ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Sunday rejected a story attributed to it and carried by this newspaper.

The story — headlined “FO dismisses letter by US Congressmen to Biden as ‘exercise in futility’” — was written by Muhammad Saleh Zaafir.

The brief FO statement advised the media to seek confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before publishing stories attributed to them.

The News regrets the publication of the story and the dismay caused to the Foreign Office.—Editor
