Young musicians perform to create awareness of mental health issues
The Youth Circle of Synapse on Saturday organised a music concert to create awareness regarding mental health issues and raise funds for youth mental health programmes.
Titled ‘Unplugged 2024 – Ab Chup Nahin!’, the concert, which featured youths singing popular songs, was held at the City Campus of the Institute of Business
Administration (IBA).
The young performers at the concert belonged to leading educational institutions, including the IBA, Habib University, Nixor College, Karachi Grammar School, Iqra University, Cedar College and Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture.
The songs selected by the performers catered to the audience of diverse musical interests. The talented young singers and musicians performed various songs of the last five decades, which enthralled the audience.
The theme of ‘Ab Chup Nahin’ signified the need for breaking the taboo status of mental health issues so that people could talk about them freely and have easy access to their cure.
The event organisers also thanked their sponsors including the National Foods Limited, HBL Asset Management, Sana Safinaz, Pakistan Intermodal Limited, Hilton Pharma Limited, The Precision Companies (Pvt) Ltd, Alfalah Bank and Medora of London.
