US diplomat reaffirms commitment to KP uplift
PESHAWAR: US Consul General Shante Moore on Saturday reaffirmed his country’s commitment to help Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in achieving its development goals.
At a meeting with Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the US consul general acknowledged the challenges faced by the province and highlighted the mutual benefits of a strong and stable Pakistan.
“A prosperous Pakistan is in the interest of the United States and the entire region,” Moore said.
The two officials discussed a broad range of issues, from economic development to regional stability, said an official communique. Barrister Saif emphasised the tremendous sacrifices made by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in their ongoing efforts to establish peace.
“The people of this province have paid a heavy price for stability,” he said.
