‘Healthcare has vital role in uplift of society’

LAHORE : Punjab Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman acknowledged the vital role that healthcare played in the development and prosperity of a society. He emphasised the Punjab government’s steadfast support for initiatives that enhance public health and ensure citizen well-being.

He expressed these views while addressing the 43rd Annual Pakistan Dermatologists Association Conference (PADCON 2024) and the Silver Jubilee celebration of Pharmahealth Pakistan Private Limited on Saturday.

During his address, the finance minister congratulated Pharmahealth Pakistan on achieving 25 years of excellence and commended its unparalleled contributions to the healthcare sector.

The achievements of Pharmahealth Pakistan in delivering high quality dermatological products and advancing research and innovation in healthcare are commendable. Their efforts not only uplift the health sector but also make a meaningful impact on Pakistan’s economic growth, said the minister.

He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering partnerships with the private sector to promote innovation, research, and development in healthcare. The minister expressed confidence that forums like PADCON would inspire new breakthroughs and strengthen collaborations in the medical field.

The event brought together prominent dermatologists, researchers, and medical professionals who lauded Pharmahealth Pakistan’s efforts in advancing the treatment of skin diseases and raising awareness about dermatological health.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mujtaba presented awards to Pharmahealth Pakistan’s CEO Khawaja Shehzad Akram and his team, acknowledging their exceptional performance and dedication.
