LAHORE : The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) tightens grip around various unregistered wedding halls and event complexes in the provincial capital.
PRA Audit Officers Hamza Pervez and Ali Haider Chughtai, along with Enforcement Officer Maryam Khan, on the instructions of PRA Lahore Commissioner Misbah Nawaz, conducted raids at prominent wedding halls in Gulberg, Nishtar Town, and Samanabad to verify their registration status. The team has issued show-cause notices to several unregistered wedding halls for competing registration process and to registered ones for non-payment of taxes. All unregistered wedding halls and tax defaulters have been given a one-week deadline to comply. After the period, the PRA will impose penalties followed by strict legal action, including sealing of premises.
