Silent bystanders

This refers to the letter ‘Power without fear’ (October 27, 2024) by Engr Asim Nawab. The writer has rightly asserted that politicians want to enjoy power without fear. Indeed, we did not take the downfall of the judiciary as seriously as we should have.
The same goes for the economic downfall and massive corruption over the years by unscathed powerful groups. For decades, we behaved as if the whole nation was suffering from the ‘bystander effect’ where everyone waits for others to act.
