LAHORE: District Head of UBL Syed Amir Abbas highlighted innovative loan schemes, mentorship programmes and digital tools designed to support women-led enterprises at a seminar marking Women Entrepreneurs’ Day, hosted by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

He also shared inspiring success stories of women who transformed their businesses using these solutions. The event brought together women entrepreneurs, financial experts and business leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities in empowering women-led enterprises.

LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad added that empowering women entrepreneurs is vital for achieving inclusive and sustainable development. He urged financial institutions to create women-centric products and called on the government to reduce regulatory barriers that disproportionately affect women-led businesses.

Amina Randhawa, the seminar’s organiser, stressed the importance of addressing systemic challenges that prevent women entrepreneurs from accessing finance. She advocated for innovative solutions to promote their growth and integration into mainstream business sectors.

The seminar featured engaging panel discussions with industry leaders and policymakers. Key topics included overcoming cultural and institutional challenges to women entrepreneurship, leveraging technology for improved market access, and strategies for building sustainable and scalable women-led businesses.
