ISLAMABAD: Under the rightsizing policy, the Economic Affairs Division has declared 140 posts from grade one to four as dying cadre.
The admin department of the ministry issued an office order in this regard, which stated that the step had been taken in the light of a decision of the federal cabinet, made on August 27, 2023.
The cabinet had ordered outsourcing general and non-core services (cleaning, plumbing, gardening, etc.).
The Establishment Division, MS Wing, had issued an office memorandum on October 18, in which all ministries and divisions were directed to ensure implementation of the cabinet decision.
With the approval of the Secretary Establishment Division, no further recruitment would be made on the 140 posts that have been declared as dying cadre, nor would the existing employees be promoted. As these employees retire, the posts would be considered as abolished.
These posts include 18 posts of staff car driver (Grade IV), four posts of dispatch rider (Grade IV), four posts of DMO (Grade IV), 102 posts of naib qasid (Grade I), one post of chowkidar (Grade I), six posts of floor caretaker (Grade I), four posts of sweeper (Grade I) and one post of sanitation worker (Grade I).
