LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to replace foreign head coaches with local talent. According to sources, the contract of red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie is expected to be terminated prematurely.

The PCB has initiated the process of appointing a Pakistani head coach for all formats. PCB officials have stated that foreign coaches will still be considered for specialised roles in batting, bowling, and fielding.

However, the head coach position will be filled by a local candidate. The decision comes after the strained relationship between the PCB and former head coach Gary Kirsten.
