ISLAMABAD: Owing to smog condition prevailing in and around Lahore as well as lackluster response from India and other countries, the Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) has postponed the South Asian (SA) Cross Country Athletics Championship scheduled for November 24 in Islamabad.
Though the AFP has given smog as the reason to postpone the one-day event which was to be staged within the confined area of F-9 Park, it has been learnt that the postponement came following PTI’s decision to stage protest on the same day in the federal capital and the lackluster response the federation has received from India and other countries.
