The shortage of the neurobion injection is causing difficulties to patients. Nobody knows the actual factors behind the shortage. Perhaps, we are the only country in the world where people face shortage of lifesaving drugs on a regular basis. In the majority of cases, no sooner had the government succumbed to such pressure tactics by pharmaceutical firms and increased the prices of drugs that were short in the market than their supply became normal. That is why people suspect that these shortages are artificial.
Last year patients using ‘minipress’ faced a similar situation because the company had stopped its production. The government did not even ask the company the reasons for suddenly ending the production cycle of the medicine, and people were left to fend for themselves.
