DASKA: A woman, aided by her daughter and other relatives, murdered her pregnant daughter-in-law (also her niece), chopped her body into pieces, and disposed it of in a local drain, in the Motra area of the Daska police station. The victim, identified as Zara, was the daughter of a policeman Shabbir Ahmed of Gujranwala. Zara, married six years ago to Qadeer of Kotli Merlan, had returned from Saudi Arabia a month before her murder, where her husband works. The couple had a two-and-a-half-year-old son named Muhammad Shafay.

The police, forensic and rescue teams worked for over 24 hours, and recovered the body parts from three separate sites. The police have registered the murder case against all suspects who have been arrested
