Officials offer all help for thalassemia patients

PESHAWAR: Senior government officials on Thursday offered all their help to a charity hospital that serves patients suffering from various blood disorders.

The Frontier Foundation arranged a function to mark the National Thalassemia Prevention Day.Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning and Development Department, Ikramullah Khan, was the chief guest.

Other prominent among the participants were KP Food Secretary Saqib Raza Aslam, Pakistan Baitul Maal KP Director Laal Badshah, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Rabia Basri, and representatives of Jihad for Zero Thalassemia, Rise Blood Society, and other organisations.

The guests visited the Thalassemia and Hemophilia wards of the charity hospital and distributed gifts to the children suffering from blood disorders.The additional chief secretary and other guests paid tribute to the Frontier Foundation for serving thalassemia and hemophilia patients and offered full cooperation in this regard.

The foundation Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem presented shields to the guests. The hospital staff and blood donors were given commendation certificates.Meanwhile, KP Health Secretary Adeel Shah visited the Frontier Foundation and met the under-treated children there.Administrator Dr Fakhar Zaman briefed him on the services being provided to the patients free of any cost. Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem presented him with a shield.
