PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday said that they had finalised preparations for the long march on Islamabad after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founding chairman Imran Khan’s final call to workers to reach Islamabad on November 24.
Gandapur was not aware of Imran Khan’s final call for another round of protest, which the PTI leaders have been calling as a decisive step, when he was asked by the journalists to comment after attending a ceremony at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Peshawar.
“Yes, our preparations are complete and we will not return home till our demands are fulfilled,” Gandapur told the media.
The chief minister had told the media a few days ago that they would be waiting for the final call of Imran Khan and he and many other PTI members expected it in the Swabi public rally last week.
Some of the party leaders had criticised Ali Amin Gandapur when he had not made an announcement about the final call for protest.
Gandapur had argued that the final call was supposed to come from Imran Khan. He had criticized certain party leaders for sitting at homes when he and other party members were protesting against the government and for the release of Imran Khan and other innocent political prisoners.
