Over 5.3m treated in 148 days as Punjab CM expands clinics on wheels

LAHORE: “All resources will be dedicated to the welfare of the people,” said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, adding that free and high-quality treatment has been provided to over 5.3 million patients across Punjab in just 148 days.

She said, “Good treatment, medicines, and tests are the rights of those living in villages too.”

She highlighted that the number of field hospitals and clinics on wheels will be further increased to ensure accessible healthcare for all.

“We will provide treatment facilities at the doorstep of every citizen,” she pledged.

The chief minister said, “We are monitoring the daily performance of the clinic on wheels and field hospital projects.” She said, “An average of more than 30,000 patients benefit from the services of clinics on wheels each day.”

She emphasised, “Medical consultations, tests, and ultrasound facilities are also available at the clinics on wheels.”

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif shared that 202 clinics on wheels vans and 42 ultrasound vans are delivering services in semi-urban and densely populated areas across Punjab.

She said, “Fifteen clinics on wheels and three ultrasound vehicles are operational in semi-urban and congested areas of Lahore, with more than 736,000 people treated at field hospitals in remote areas of Punjab.”

She said, “Over 100,000 people in villages received free lab tests through field hospitals, and more than 46,000 from remote villages benefited from free X-ray and ultrasound tests.”

Villagers and their representatives have praised the chief minister for launching the field hospitals and clinics on wheels projects.

Message: “Kindness is an invisible force felt in the heart,” said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in her message on World Kindness Day.

She said, “Sharing someone’s burden, offering a smile, and speaking kindly is a blessed Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAW).” She highlighted, “Even small acts of kindness can have a positive impact on society.”

The chief minister said, “Kindness is the light that brings peace to hearts.”

She said, “I wish to see every heart happy and every face smiling in Pakistan.” She urged people to “make kindness a part of your life and give a better world to the next generation.” Condolence: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Sajjad Hussain Pirzada, the brother of Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada. She extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
