IHC adjourns journalists protection case till Nov 20
CJ IHS remarks there are several weaknesses in this law due to which it require amendment

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing till November 20, on a case about legislation about the PEMRA Council of Complaints.
The court instructed the secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to prepare a proposal after consulting with the stakeholders to remove weaknesses in the law. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the case filed by the Islamabad High Court Journalists Association and the International Federation of Journalists.During the proceedings, the chief justice remarked that there were several weaknesses in this law due to which it required amendment.
