3rd Bariatric Surgery Masterclass concludes

PESHAWAR: The two-day 3rd Bariatric Surgery Masterclass concluded at the Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) on Wednesday. The event was attended by Dean of Khyber Medical College Prof Dr Mahmud Aurangzeb, KTH Medical Director Prof Dr Mohammad Ayaz Khan and other guests.

The masterclass opened with a welcoming address by Prof Dr Muzaffar-ud-Din. Prof Dr Mahmud Aurangzeb highlighted the masterclass’s importance in enhancing surgical skills and advancing medical knowledge.

Prof Dr Mohammad Zarin then provided an in-depth overview of Chapter GS, showcasing his expertise, followed by Dr Farooq Afzal’s presentation on “The Future of Weight Loss Surgery - Advances and Horizons,” which discussed emerging trends and innovations in bariatric surgery. Dr Muhammad Imran outlined various bariatric procedures and their indications.
