PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary has called for proactive measures to address public grievances.
He was speaking at a meeting of the secretaries committee meeting at the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday. The senior member Board of Revenue, additional chief secretary of the Home Department, additional chief secretary of the Planning and Development Department, the additional advocate general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative secretaries and officials concerned attended the meeting, said a handout.
A detailed briefing was given by the director of the Performance Management and Reforms Unit (PMRU), who presented the departmental performance assessment covering the last three months under multiple performance indicators. In light of this, suggestions were discussed for strengthening governance and enhancing the public service delivery system to benefit citizens effectively.
A detailed presentation was also given on various issues, including the Task Management System, the application of the File Tracking System within government departments, and the redressal of public grievances highlighted through the citizen portal and khuli kutchehries. Emphasising the importance of timely problem resolution and administrative efficiency, the chief secretary directed that departments utilise technology, particularly through the effective implementation of the File Tracking System, to expedite processes and support the goal of paperless governance. He noted that the shift towards digital governance was essential to improving departmental efficiency.
