Official chairs meeting on public services, cleanliness in Bajaur
KHAR: Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan chaired a monthly performance review meeting to assess public services and cleanliness in urban areas of Bajaur district on Wednesday.
The meeting brought together officials, including the additional deputy commissioners (General, Finance, and Planning), assistant commissioners from Khar and Nawagai, district education officers, and representatives from TMAs for Khar and Nawagai.
Shahid Ali stressed the need to improve cleanliness and public facilities in urban areas. He ordered conducting cleanliness drives in marketplaces, removing illegal speed bumps, clearing roadside garbage, addressing encroachments, and maintaining public toilets, bus terminals, and educational institutions.
He also instructed administrative officers to take action against unauthorised stone-crushing plants and ensure timely implementation of all measures to enhance public services.Following the directives, Assistant Commissioner (Headquarters) Dr Sadiq Ali also launched a cleanliness campaign in urban areas, starting with an awareness walk at Scouts Market and the Khar Bazaar taxicab stand. The walk was attended by Tehsil Chairman Haji Syed Badshah, TMA officials, traffic officers, trade union leaders, and local shopkeepers.
