Islamabad: Chairman of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Muhammad Fareed on Tuesday promised more initiatives for youth skills development.

He visited the GoForeign Language Academy in Giga Mall here and was briefed Muhammad Sajid Majid Chaudhry about language education and training offered by the institute. The chairman praised GoForeign’s efforts to combat illegal human trafficking and illegal immigration and admired the training standards of its academy.

He invited it to collaborate with TEVTA for a better future for the youth of the region. "We want to send a message to the people of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir that the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, through TEVTA, will increase its efforts in providing job opportunities to youth abroad," he said.

Mr Fareed also said after collaboration and coordination with GoForeign, the country would be brought back on track, focusing on youth skills development. The women, especially single mothers or divorced women, will no longer have to beg their former husbands or guardians for their livelihood, and instead, they will become breadwinners for their children and families. To provide this independence and empower them as useful members of society, GoForeign, in collaboration with TEVTA, will launch a separate programme for women to work abroad.
