LAHORE:Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has adorned Gurdwara Nankana Sahib with electric lamps. Director General, PHA, Tahir Wattoo said the project was launched in line with the Punjab government's vision for the 555th birth anniversary of the founder of the Sikh religion.
He said that the horticultural and engineering work at the Gurdwara and its surrounding areas has been completed ahead of schedule. He said special arrangements will be made to accommodate Sikh pilgrims during their visit to Lahore.
The DG emphasised that the Punjab government is committed to enhancing the celebrations of religious festivals while ensuring the protection of minorities and their religious freedoms. He reaffirmed that Pakistan remains the safest country for minorities and a steadfast protector of their rights.
