ISLAMABAD: The traders’ community Pakistan has warned the government against bringing a mini budget advising the regime to opt for cutting non-development and non-productive expenses.
While addressing a press conference here on Tuesday President Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajran Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry said, “We warn the government to refrain from bringing a mini budget and instead it should opt for reducing non-development expenses”.
He alleged that after failing to achieve tax collection targets, the government is now pondering over announcing a mini budget which he said would be detrimental for the business activity all over the country.
Kashif Chaudhry maintained that any new taxation on the salaried class and traders’ community would not be acceptable. “The government should take realistic measures as mere imposition of taxes will not run the economy”, Kashif Chaudhry said.
He also asked the government to reduce billions of rupees being incurred on Aiwan-e-Sadr, Prime Minister House.
He said the traders’ community would also announce its action plan if the government attempts to bring any mini budget.
