LAHORE: Lahore Police Tuesday arrested six drug peddlers, including a woman, from Baghbanpura, Manga Mandi, Mustafa Town, and Haloki and recovered over 5 kg hashish and 150 flavored shisha from them.
The police detained Zeeshan, Hassan, Zulfiqar Masih, Fakhira Bibi, M Ashraf, and Danish as they were involved in the distribution of drugs across various areas of the city.
Meanwhile, Mughalpura police apprehended Arsalan Javed and his brother Daniyal Javed with a record of conducting online gambling operations. The accused were found in possession of 32 computers, 2 laptops, 2 mobile phones, and a sum of money. In Shadbagh police arrested accused Ali Raza and recovered an illegal rifle from his possession. Dolphin Squad arrested accused Amir and Arsalan in Shadman and Gujjarpura and recovered four mobile phones, a pistol from them.
Earlier, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a meeting at his office. During the meeting, he ordered initiating a crackdown on drug trade across the City, assigning the task to SSP (Operations) and SSP (Investigation).

A woman called the emergency helpline 15 to inform the Virtual Women Police Station, reporting that a man was following her and attempting to harass her.
The Virtual Women Police Station dispatched a police team to the location. The police team, with the woman’s guidance, apprehended the accused. The spokesperson for PSCA reported that during questioning, the accused expressed remorse for his actions and assured he would not harass any woman in the future, which led the woman to forgive him.
