Maryam committed to provide best medical facilities to masses

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that she was committed to provide best medical facilities to people.

“The record simultaneous revamping of all health centers across Punjab is nearing completion,” said Maryam Nawaz while noting that the project of revamping and rehabilitating 1236 health centers of Punjab was in full swing.

She added, “Dilapidated health centers will be converted into makeshift clinics.” She set a deadline of 31 December for completing of the project.

She highlighted, “286 Health Centers of Central Punjab, 363 of North Zone and 587 of South Punjab are included in the revamping project.” She said, “Revamping of 20 percent health centers of Central Punjab, 28 percent of North Zone and more than 25 percent of South Punjab has been completed.” She added, “The work of transforming 1219 health centers into family clinics is going on at a fast pace. Plastering of 772 units, flooring of 384 units and finishing of 74 units are in progress.”

Maryam Nawaz said, “The teams of the Department of Construction and Communication are actively working to complete the project in time.” She added, “We will fulfill our promise of best treatment facilities for the people.”

She said, “Basic health centers will be converted into modern clinics.” She added, “Shortage of doctors and staff will also be fulfilled.” She underscored, “We will build such clinics in villages of Punjab that will be better than the private hospitals of cities.”

The CM said, “Providing best health facilities at the doorsteps of people will reduce rush of patients in big hospitals.” She directed the authorities concerned to ensure meeting best construction standards while revamping the health centres.

CM’s message of on World Pneumonia Day“Pneumonia can be dangerous for children and the elderly,” said Maryam Nawaz in her message on World Pneumonia Day.She added, “Pneumonia kills millions of children and the elderly worldwide every yea.” She highlighted, “Pneumonia vaccination is essential for children under the age of five.”
