PESHAWAR: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Fazal Moqeem Khan has suggested holding exhibitions, exchanging trade delegations, and launching joint ventures to improve trade between Pakistan and Tunisia.
He said this while speaking at a luncheon, arranged by Honorary Consul General of Tunisia in Peshawar Ammad Rasheed for the business community and dignitaries here.The luncheon was attended WCCIP president Rabia Basri, U.S Consul General in Peshawar Shante Moore, Fuad Ishaq, Honorary Consul General of Japan in Peshawar Nawabzada Fazal Karim Khan, Chairman Textile Mills Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sikandar Kuli Khan Khattak, vice president of the Rawalpindi Chamber Fahad Barlas, Khalid Sultan Khawaja, Monawar Khurshid, Mansoor Khawaja, Aamir Bashir, TDAP Director KP Noman Bashir, CFO/Acting CEO, The Bank of Khyber Irfan Saleem Awan and other dignitaries.
Fazal Moqeem said Pakistan and Tunisia had enjoyed cordial economic, trade, and cultural relations. He hoped that the joint initiatives from both sides would improve the bilateral trade volume.
He added that immense potential in hydropower generation, marble, oil, gas, and other natural resources exist in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where prospects are brighter for attracting foreign investment. Fazal Moqeem invited the Tunisian companies to invest in KP’s potentials/important sectors.
