LAHORE:For the first time, 86 sub-inspectors (SIs) in the Punjab police will be promoted to the rank of inspector through the Public Service Commission under the service quota.
The Punjab government has amended the relevant laws regarding service quotas. According to DIG Establishment 1, the promotion of these 86 sub-inspectors to inspector will open up additional vacancies for sub-inspectors (SI) and assistant sub-inspectors (ASI).
This restructuring is expected to create more opportunities for departmental promotions based on merit and seniority, providing eligible personnel with a clear path for career advancement.
