Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and United Arab Emirates Consul General Bakhit Ateeq Al-Rumaiti met at the former’s office in Clifton on Monday.
During the meeting, both discussed ways to strengthen shared values and enhance cooperation in various fields. The UAE consul general invited the provincial minister to join the UAE’s National Day celebrations. Memon assured him of celebrating the brotherly Islamic country’s national day fraternal enthusiasm.
The two agreed to promote economic and social development and cooperation. The UAE diplomat praised the Sindh government’s anti-narcotics initiatives. He said free medical camps were also going to be set up by the UAE government in various cities for the people of Sindh.
Memon said the brotherly relations between the UAE and Sindh span decades, and the UAE’s efforts for the people of Sindh were unforgettable. Arab Emirates is our long-time brother country, the efforts of Arab Emirates for the development of Pakistan, especially Sindh, are not hidden from anyone, he added.
He said the people of UAE have stood by the people of Sindh in every difficult time, and UAE investment is playing a significant role in the infrastructure, health and education sector of Sindh. Memon said the government of Sindh is committed to enhancing the partnership with the government of the UAE, promoting peace and prosperity and deepening these relations.
