PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Irrigation Aqibullah and Swabi Tehsil Chairman Attaullah on Monday filed a writ petition in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) seeking pre-arrest bail and details of cases registered against them.
In the petition, Aqibullah stated that a case was filed against him in Hasan Abdal and elsewhere, but he was unaware of the details. He requested the court to direct the government and relevant departments to provide him with details of these cases.
The petition stated that the two leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf intended to appear before the relevant courts but feared arrest.Attaullah, the tehsil chairman of Swabi, also requested the court to provide information on the cases registered against him so that he could defend himself. The petitioner said they intended to cooperate with the judicial proceedings and sought the details of the cases registered against them.
