Smog creates problems for residents in Burewala

BUREWALA: Like other parts of the province, Vehari district is also facing a thick smog, creating problems for the residents.All three tehsils of the district, Burewala, Mailsi, and Vehari, are experiencing severe smog, which has disrupted traffic flow and increased air pollution, leading to various health concerns for residents. The Health Department warned of a possible rise in diseases affecting the eyes, lungs, respiratory system and throat due to the smog.

On the other hand, the Highway Patrol Police asked the citizens to take preventive measures, including wearing masks and use of helmets. The police also asked the people to avoid unnecessary traveling to minimize exposure to smog’s harmful effects.

STREET CRIMES INCREASE: Burewala has become a stronghold for dangerous criminal gangs with a surge in street crimes, including robbery, theft, and murder.The alarming increase in the incidents has left the residents feeling unsafe and insecure. Citizens are in constant fear, seeking protection from the criminals. Local citizens have demanded immediate action against the outlaws.

BIKE SNATCHED: A man was deprived of motorcycle in a robbery incident near BTM here on Sunday.According to details, Muhammad Saqib, son of Muhammad Rafiq, a resident of Chak 433/EB, was on his way when two unidentified armed men snatched his bike.
