PESHAWAR: The family of a 14 years old thalassemia-hit girl child is in dire need of financial assistance to get her treated.
The ailing child, Arham, has been suffering from thalassaemia for quite some time. She undergoes treatment at the Fatimid Thalassaemia Centre. Her father, Khairul Bashar, is unemployed these days and is struggling to get a job.
Arham is the only child of her parents as her sister Ayesha died of the same fatal disease a year ago. She resumed her studies recently while still braving the disease. She is far behind in her class as compared to her age follows but she is determined to pursue her studies.
It was learnt that the family needs Rs10,000 per month assistance to cover Arham’s medical tests, medicines, education and food. The Fatimid Foundation (91-843050) is helping her for blood and blood transfusion, but the family has to pay for the basic equipment and related tests.
The blood transfusion has its own side effects, the child requires some extra tests and these are not covered by the Fatimid Foundation due to limited resources. Those wishing to contribute to the treatment of the child can directly pay in her father account. The account details are as under:
