Rawalpindi edge Karachi in third round of Quaid Trophy

LAHORE: Rawalpindi defeated Karachi Whites by 9 wickets in the third round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy cricket tournament. Abbottabad beat Larkana by 10 wickets.

Lahore Whites won by 5 wickets against Islamabad. Peshawar won the match against Azad Jammu Kashmir by 9 wickets while Bahawalpur won by 78 runs against Multan.

Rawalpindi defeated Karachi Whites by 9 wickets at Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium Rawalpindi.

Rawalpindi was given a target of just 22 runs to win which they achieved with the loss of one wicket.

Earlier, the team of Karachi Whites was dismissed by scoring only 74 runs in the second innings. Owais Anwar took 5 wickets by giving 23 runs.

Abbottabad defeated Larkana by 10 wickets at National Ground Islamabad. Abbottabad needed 19 runs to win which they scored without any loss. Earlier, the Larkana team was bowled out for 186 runs in the second innings. Mohammad Nawaz scored 65 runs. Aqib Khan took 5 wickets by giving 39 runs.

Peshawar got a target of 130 runs to win the match against Azad Jammu Kashmir at the Ashfaq Ground Charsadda which they achieved with the loss of one wicket. Waqar Ahmed played an innings of 57 runs. Muaz Sadaqat scored 58 runs not out.

Earlier, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir team was bowled out for 171 runs in the second innings like the first innings. Hasan Raza scored 67 runs. Sajid Khan and Aamir Khan took four wickets by giving 33 and 38 runs respectively. Sajid Khan took 9 wickets in the match.

Lahore Whites defeated Islamabad by 5 wickets at Murghazar Cricket Ground Islamabad. They were given a target of 109 runs which they achieved at the loss of 5 wickets. Earlier, the Islamabad team was bowled out by scoring 155 runs in the second innings. Ahmed Daniyal took 5 wickets by giving 34 runs. Ahmed Bashir dismissed 2 players and took 9 wickets in the match.

Set a target of 221 runs against Bahawalpur, Multan were bowled out for 142 runs at the Abbottabad Stadium, Abbottabad. Imran Randhawa took 4 wickets for 31 runs.

Earlier, the Bahawalpur team was bowled out for 70 runs in the second innings. Wasim Akram took 5 wickets for 38 runs, thus he took a total of 9 wickets in the match. Karachi Blues scored 251 runs for 8 wickets in their first innings against FATA at Multan Cricket Stadium Multan. Abdullah Fazal was not out on 122 runs.

Quetta scored 92 runs in the second innings against Lahore Blues at Saeed Sports City Lahore and 8 of its players were dismissed. Mohammad Abbas took 4 wickets. Quetta lead by 43 runs with two wickets to spare.

Sialkot team was bowled out for 451 runs in their first innings against Dera Murad Jamali at Rana Naveed Academy Sheikhupura. Danish Aziz took 5 wickets by giving 98 runs.

Dera Murad Jamali scored 25 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their first innings.
