LONDON: Fulham beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Saturday with goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Harry Wilson while the home side were reduced to 10 men when Daichi Kamada saw red for a dangerous tackle.
Fulham dominated the first half and their pressing yielded the goal when Smith Rowe nicked the ball from Maxence Lacroix and surged forward before getting it back from Raul Jimenez to open the scoring.
Kamada was sent off for lunging into a studs-up tackle on Kenny Tete in the 76th minute and Fulham took full advantage of the extra man when Wilson was put through on goal by Alex Iwobi and the Welsh winger scored his third in two games.
Wilson had another goal ruled out by VAR for handball but Fulham sealed victory to provisionally move up to sixth in the standings with 18 points while Palace are 17th, one point above the relegation zone.
Cunha smashed home a stunning second goal himself early in the second period to give Wolves a vital three points which sees Southampton replace them at the bottom of the table.
Fulham moved into the top six by inflicting more misery on Crystal Palace with a 2-0 win at Selhurst Park.
Harry Wilson came off the bench to score twice in stoppage time to secure a 2-1 win over Brentford on Monday and the Welsh international was an impact substitute again to wrap up the victory seven minutes from time.
Everton grind out point at West Ham in stalemate
Everton ground out a point in a 0-0 draw at West Ham United on Saturday in a Premier League game in which neither side did enough to justify three points. A dismal first half offered precious little to lift the November gloom at the London Stadium although both sides showed more ambition after the interval.
Everton’s Jesper Lindstrom forced a fine save from Lukasz Fabianski while the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock was when West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville saw his shot rebound off the post.
Jordan Pickford also made some important saves for the visitors including a stunning one in stoppage time as they drew for the fourth time in their last seven league matches. —Reuters
