LAHORE: Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Arshad Javed approved the bails of PTI founder Imran Khan in 4 cases of the May 9 violence.
The court ordered the deposit of Rs550,000 bail bonds in the cases of burning the office of the PML-N, speeches and encirclement of the Sherpao Bridge, burning containers in front of National Park Gulberg and burning police vans in Gulberg. The court rejected Barrister Salman Safdar’s request for more time to present his arguments and said that he had already given his arguments and repeated arguments would waste time. “Now the bail applications should be decided,” he observed.
Prosecutor General Farhad Ali Shah completed his arguments. The Prosecutor General Punjab said that the PTI founder had created a narrative that if there was an arrest, all this has to be done. The leadership attacked sensitive facilities as per the instructions of Imran Khan, he said and requested that the bail pleas be dismissed.
