Islamabad:Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a new ’Cascade’ service centre in Diplomatic Enclave, established to streamline services for diplomats and foreign nationals. The launch event was attended by foreign diplomats, Secretary Interior Mohammad Khurram Agha, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and senior police officials.
The "Cascade" centre is a first-of-its-kind facility in Pakistan, offering over 12 essential services under one roof to diplomats and foreign citizens, following Federal Interior Minister Naqvi's directives.
Available services include issuing and renewing driving licenses, providing character certificates, general police verifications, processing missing person reports, and tenant registration. Additional services include foreigner registration, domestic worker registration, volunteer registration, vehicle verification, and issuance of FIR copies.
Minister Naqvi emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting diplomats and foreign nationals in Pakistan, stating that the centre is a testament to Pakistan's dedication to ensuring diplomatic safety and convenience. He noted that this centre would also reinforce collaboration between law enforcement and diplomatic personnel.
