ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the Interior Ministry and other parties to provide details of the cases registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaisar.
IHC Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz heard the petition of Asad Qaisar.
Petitioner’s lawyer Aisha Khalid appeared before the court and expressed fear that the petitioner may be arrested in a case that is not known beforehand.
Orders should be given to provide details of cases registered in police stations across the country or cases, inquiries and investigations in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The court issued notices to the parties and adjourned the hearing. The next hearing of the case will be fixed by the registrar office. The Ministry of Interior, the IGs of Islamabad and the four provinces, the chief commissioner, NAB and FIA have been made parties to the petition.
Applicants would deposit Rs200,000 while remaining dues would collected in two installments: Resources
