PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued instructions to all departments to submit comprehensive records of appointments made during the caretaker government - from January 22, 2023, to February 29, 2024.
The directives were issued after the provincial cabinet on October 24 decided to establish a Ministerial Committee to ensure transparency in recruitment during the interim government period. The Establishment Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in a letter issued on November 4, directed all the departmental heads to provide attested and verified data on appointments during the caretaker government. The letter emphasized that any submission of incomplete or incorrect data would lead to disciplinary action against the responsible departmental heads. Departments were advised to obtain data from the Finance Department for verification and to submit the complete records in a specified format within three days. The committee, during its recent meeting, had expressed serious concerns over the quality of initial data submissions, noting discrepancies and omissions in several reports. In response, the Health Department issued a notification on November 5 to medical institutions and Medical Teaching Institutions across province, mandating them to submit verified details of appointments made under the caretaker administration.
