One urgent problem that affects children in the rural areas of Pakistan is the digital gap. According to some estimates, more than 40 per cent of school-age children in rural areas were unable to attend online classes because they lacked digital equipment and dependable internet during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Entire districts in distant areas frequently lack internet connectivity, which negatively affects students' scholastic progress and future prospects. Collaboration between the public and commercial sectors is crucial to closing this gap by giving the rural areas access to digital devices and inexpensive internet.
