Man murdered by cousins

LAHORE

A 22-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his cousins on a domestic issue in the South Cantt police jurisdiction on Thursday.

According to police, victim Babar Ali exchanged harsh words with his cousins Haji Akram, Aslam, Amjad and others on a domestic issue, and they tortured and threw him from a roof. He suffered injuries, and was removed to hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.

Police have removed the body to morgue and registered a murder case against the accused. Police are searching for the accused.

Student dies: A 20-year-old student died after accidentally falling from the roof of his hostel in the Hair police area on Thursday.

Police said victim Waqas was standing on the roof of his hostel. Suddenly, his feet slipped and he fell down from the roof.

He suffered injuries, and was shifted to hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Police have handed over the body to his relatives after completing legal formalities.

found dead: Two men, unidentified so far, were found dead in different parts of the city on Thursday. 

A 45-year-old man was found dead in the Civil Lines police area and a 55-year-old man in the Tibbi City police jurisdiction.

Respective police said the men looked drug-addicts and might have died of overdoses of drugs.

However, autopsy would help ascertain the causes of their deaths. Police have removed the bodies to morgue and started a search for their families.

accidents: Ten people were killed in the 636 road accidents reported to the Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, from all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

 Besides 10 deaths, 503 people were critically injured in the accidents.

The injured were removed to hospitals. However, some 222 victims who sustained minor injuries were given first aid on the spot by the emergency medical teams.
