534 power thieves detected in five districts

LAHORE:The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) officials have detected 534 power thieves in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur and Okara districts during its drive against electricity theft during the last 24 hours.
According to a Lesco spokesman, the company had forwarded applications against electricity thieves to relevant police stations and 176 cases were registered and 31 accused were arrested. The spokesman added that commercial consumers were also found involved in power theft and their electricity were disconnected and they were issued 389,701 units as detection bill.
