LAHORE: Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif Wednesday claimed his third IBSF World Snooker Championship title in Doha. The 42-year-old cueist triumphed over Iran’s Ali Gharahgozlou in a nail-biting final, winning 5-3 in the best-of-nine frames match.
Entering the tournament as a wild card from the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA), Asif showcased control and skill throughout the competition. He navigated the qualification rounds with ease, continued his winning streak in the main draw, and battled through the knockout stages to reach the final.
