ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Finance on Tuesday issued a memorandum for implementing the decision taken by the federal cabinet under which all ministries/divisions and concerned departments are instructed to abolish the contingency posts.
According to a memorandum issued by the Expenditure Wing of Finance Division, the decision of the federal cabinet taken in case No. 231/2812024 dated 27.8.2024 circulated by the Cabinet Division vide Memorandum No’ 28tCMl2O24-D dated 3rd September 2024, is reproduced as: “All Contingency posts to be eliminated”. All Ministries/Divisions and their subordinate offices are requested to ensure the compliance of the above direction of the cabinet.”
This memorandum has been dispatched to Secretary to the President, Islamabad, Secretary to Prime Minister, Auditor General of Pakistan, Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat, Secretary, Senate Secretariat, Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan, all secretaries/PAOs of Ministries/Divisions/Departments, Controller General of Accounts, Accountant General Pakistan Revenues, Additional Secretary, Finance Division (Military), Rawalpindi, All Sr. joint secretaries/joint secretaries (Exp), Finance Division.
