PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday granted transit bail to the Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption Musaddiq Abbasi until November 14. A two-member bench comprising Justice SM Atiq Shah and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah heard the petition.
Alam Khan Adiznai, appearing for the petitioner, informed the court that cases were registered against Abbasi following his participation in protests in Islamabad.
He stated that Abbasi intended to appear before the relevant courts and requested transit bail to ensure his appearance.
The court approved his transit bail until November 14, directing Abbasi to appear in the appropriate courts.
Meanwhile, the same bench heard a separate petition filed to obtain case details against Naeem Haider Panjutha, Imran Khan’s lawyer. However, Panjutha did not appear in court, and his lawyer, Alam Khan Adiznai, subsequently requested to withdraw the petition. The court accepted the withdrawal and dismissed the case.
